What a ride.

Starting with a hot dog cart in 2018, Tania was affectionately known in Columbus, NC as the "hot dog lady". In the fall of 2020, we went brick and mortar in Tryon, NC as "Trade Street Creamery" expanding to "Trade Street Diner" in 2024.

In late 2025, it was time for us to sell and for Tania to retire.

This didn't last long. Her heart is in hospitality and she longed for the days of treating welcomed guests. Overcome with sadness, she started searching for her next venture.

The Ice Cream District Cafe was born in the beginning of 2026 and opened in July of 2026 - designed to bring the community together through food, coffee, ice cream, treats and  heartfelt love.

Everything has happened for a reason, and it brought us right here, right now. Let's make it mean something.
